Celebrate Summer at LoToFest (Lowertown Festival) in Rochester, MN

Rochester, MN – August 14, 2023 – The Lowertown Neighborhood Association (LNA) is thrilled to announce the upcoming LoToFest (Lowertown Festival), a vibrant community event set to take place on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 from Noon to 5 PM at Goose Egg Park in the heart of the Lowertown Neighborhood in Rochester, MN.

The Lowertown Festival promises a day of joy, connection, and celebration for individuals and families alike. Residents and visitors are invited to come together to enjoy a range of exciting activities that cater to all ages and interests. With the intention of fostering community spirit and inclusivity, the festival offers a diverse array of free attractions and experiences that ensure everyone can join in the fun.

Event Highlights:

• Experience New Activities: Engage in a variety of free demos and instructions, from belly dancing and tai chi to pickle ball, provided by Rochester Community Education. Unleash your rhythm at the drum circle provided by Jeff Cozy and enjoy the excitement of a dunk tank where you can dunk a local celebrity or public figure!

• Community Engagement: Join We Bike Rochester for free bike tune-ups and other engaging activities that promote sustainable transportation and community bonding.

• Kids' Wonderland: The festival's youngest attendees will delight in a range of free kids' activities, including a bike parade featuring John Sievers leading on trombone, bike decoration, bubble fun, face painting, and story time.

• Artistic Expressions: Immerse yourself in creativity with face painting, caricatures, and the opportunity to build your own wildflower bouquet.

• Diverse Culinary Delights: A selection of food trucks will tantalize taste buds with a wide variety of culinary options.

Proceeds from select attractions, including exclusive Lowertown Lavender kombucha by Kowabucha, the dunk tank, and caricatures, will be directed towards supporting the Lowertown Neighborhood Association's initiatives to enhance the local community.

"We hope you will come dance in the street with us, eat some good food, try a new activity, meet a new friend, and leave with good memories and a full heart.," said Laura Zastrow, Communications Chair and Board Member of the Lowertown Neighborhood Association. “We've intentionally included a wide variety of free activities so as to not be cost prohibitive to anyone in our community. You can spend $0 at LoToFest and still have a delightful, unique experience.”
